Members of ASTM Committees C01 on Cement and C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates invite preliminary abstracts of candidate papers for Symposium on Advances in Cement Analysis and Concrete Petrography, June 27, 2018, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, San Diego.
The event will take place in conjunction with the committees’ standards development meetings, and provide a forum for cement technologists and concrete petrographers to present technologies advancing the industry and addressing quality control challenges. Paper or presentation topics might include advances in cement analysis or concrete petrography, or related case studies, plus challenges of emerging materials to cement analysis and concrete petrography.
In 250-300 word preliminary abstracts due by August 4, authors should clearly define the objective and approach of the work discussed, point out new material, and present sufficient details regarding results. Presentations or manuscripts must not be of commercial nature nor can they have been previously published. Candidate presenters will be notified by regular mail of the status of their papers within two weeks of the abstract deadline. Additional information on the Symposium on Advances in Cement Analysis and Concrete Petrography can be obtained from co-chairs Don Brown, [email protected], or Derek Cong, [email protected]. Questions on symposium registration or abstract submission can be directed to ASTM staff liaison, Tessa Sulkes, 610/832-9677, [email protected].
