The National Steering Committee reports a near-record $875,000 in gross proceeds from the 2017 CIM auction, staged January 18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, amid the World of Concrete show. Liquid Stone Concrete, Burleson, Texas, was the winning bidder for the signature item: a Mack Granite Axle Forward-mounted McNeilus 11-yd. Bridgemaster.
Also in the auction pool were cement loads; a broad range of concrete plant or site equipment and tools; plus sports and vacation travel packages. Proceeds will benefit four-year CIM degree programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro; New Jersey Institute of Technology; Texas State University; and, California State University, Chico.
