MANUFACTURERS – September 2016

Murray, O’Malley lead Schwing America

Herne, Germany-based parent company Schwing Group moved decisively on a new executive team following the mid-August departure of Schwing America CEO Brian Hazelton, appointing as successor Bill Murray, chief financial officer since 2012, and promoting Tom O’Malley from vice president to senior vice president of Sales & Marketing. Rounding out the St. Paul, Minn., concrete placement and delivery equipment manufacturer’s leadership are Vice President of Human Resources and Administration Lisa Kraft-Kujawa and Schwing Group Director of Engineering & Design Joseph Schnittker, who will oversee engineering, research and development activities across Herne headquarters and Schwing America’s Minnesota facilities.

Leading into his CFO appointment, Murray served as chief restructuring officer and independent board member, arriving at Schwing America with a resume that included senior level finance, operating and consulting positions at Daimler Chrysler and General Motors. O’Malley has served in sales and marketing capacities for nearly 20 years at Schwing America, joining it after tours of duty with Putzmeister America and Rotec Industries.

“I am confident in this team’s ability to continue to advance Schwing America as the premium concrete product manufacturer in North America,” says Schwing Group Managing Director Dr. Gunther Abolins. “They will continue to lead our talented team of senior leaders and dedicated employees to provide the best products and services for current and future customers.”
