Pumping equipment and mixer truck manufacturer Schwing America announced the resignation, effective immediately, of CEO Brian Hazelton, who notified the German parent of his intention to pursue a new leadership position in the recreational vehicle industry. “Until a new chief executive office is announced, operation will be ‘business as usual’ for our employees, customer and suppliers,” notes Schwing Group CEO Dr. Gunther Abolins.
Hazelton’s departure after 14 years at Schwing America follows a late-July announcement of a leadership transition at chief competitor, Putzmeister America Inc.: After 16-plus years at the helm, President and CEO Dave Adams has announced the appointment of a successor, Peter Mendel, who joined the company in 2015 as senior vice president and chief operating officer.
