Through research, case studies and extensive industry input, DBIA has identified design-build best practices and implementing techniques that directly impact project performance. Its new “10 Design-Build Done Right Best Practices” report serves “as a single source that clearly defines design-build fundamentals to significantly enhance superior project outcomes,” says DBIA Executive Director Lisa Washington, CAE. “With design-build currently at 40 percent of all non-residential design and construction, the impetus for owners to engage ‘Design-Build Done Right’ is at an all-time high. By applying DBIA Best Practices, owners and practitioners will unlock the inherent value of design-build project delivery.”

Report shows industrial sector prioritizes sustainability in design and operations

USGBC’s new LEED in Motion: Industrial Facilities report highlights the collaborative efforts across the manufacturing sector to design and implement LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and prioritize environmental stewardship. Currently, there are more than 1,755 LEED-certified industrial facilities worldwide totaling more than 496 million square feet and an additional 2,710 projects registered totaling nearly 737 million square feet.
