Global machinery trade fair expands its digital presence

Ahead of their April 11-17 gathering in Munich, bauma 2016 organizers have expanded the event’s digital presence. In addition to the main show website, www.bauma.de, the event is the subject of a social media campaign.

Website relaunch. The bauma website was relaunched in June 2015 and now features a responsive design plus more transparent navigation, whereby exhibitors and visitors can find all important fair-related information with just a few clicks. The new website also guarantees comprehensive availability using all mobile terminal devices.

Social networks. In keeping with the motto “good things come to those who wait,” bauma is now represented in various social networks such as Facebook (www.facebook.com/baumaOfficial), LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/company/bauma-official), Twitter (www.twitter.com/baumaOfficial) and YouTube (www.youtube.com/baumaMunich). bauma organizers aim to provide regular updates through each social media channel, addressing what innovations and solutions will be presented; hot trends and topics that are moving the global industry; and, what manufacturers and brands will be represented at the fair.

Visitor registration. Tickets to bauma are now available at www.bauma.de/trade-fair/visitors/purchase-ticket. Visitors who register in advance save money and automatically take part in the bauma raffle. Another advantage of registering in advance is that visitors do not have to wait at the counters when they get to the fair and may proceed directly to the turnstiles.

Exhibitor database online. Another tool that helps visitors prepare for the fair is the exhibitor list at http://exhibitors.bauma.de/en. Those who are interested can go to the “Hall Plan” to get an impression about the halls and the outdoor exhibition site. The “Exhibitor Search” feature gives users detailed information about the exhibitors and their products. Visitors can also put together a “Reminder List” to ensure they are prepared in advance.
