Flanked by Peterbilt Motors hosts, Con-Tech co-owners Grant McNeilus and Dan Welsh (fourth and fifth from left) arrived in Denton, Texas, ready to usher the first full production Model 567 SFFA into their inventory.

Peterbilt Motors Co. hosted staff from mixer truck builder Con-Tech Manufacturing to drive the first full production Model 567 set-forward front axle (SFFA) truck off the Denton, Texas, assembly line.

“Customer excitement has been high for the full availability of our newest vocational workhorse,” says Peterbilt Assistant General Manager of Sales & Marketing Robert Woodall. “The Model 567 SFFA lets customers maximize payloads while helping meet state and federal bridge law requirements with a chassis that optimizes weight distribution. It’s a great truck for mixer applications and Con-Tech was an ideal choice to visit and participate in this special milestone with us.”

The Model 567 SFFA debuted earlier this year at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas. “Peterbilt trucks are a great way for us to showcase our High Performance BridgeKing and Extreme Duty concrete mixers,” notes Con-Tech President Dan Welsh.

“Optimized axle placement and exceptional weight distribution make it an excellent match for our BridgeKing model, which helps customers comply with restricted-weight roadways and bridges,” adds Vice President Grant McNeilus, noting the Model 567 SFFA’s lightweight design, durability, and maneuverability features.

The Model 567 SFFA is available in 115- and 121-in. bumper-to-back-of-cab lengths, with 29 in. and 31 in. bumper to front axle distances, respectively. The charter set-back forward axle Model 567 and SFFA configuration have a standard Paccar MX-13 engine with up to 500 hp and 1,850 lb.-ft. torque ratings.
