TCA prepares Sauter send off

The Tilt-Up Concrete Association will honor longstanding Executive Director Ed Sauter at its Winter Tilt-Up Jubilee during next month’s World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Sauter has entered part-time retirement effective 2015, capping a 23-year tenure that began as a result of his 1992 World of Concrete participation.BRF-ORG-Ed-200

“Ed has been an extraordinary asset to this association for a very long time and we are excited to celebrate him and all that the TCA has become over the past two decades,” says TCA Managing Director Mitch Bloomquist. “His impact not only on the organization, but the industry as a whole, cannot be overstated.”

In 2001, Sauter began expanding the TCA staff, going into partnership with Jim Baty, technical director. Bloomquist was brought on board in 2010 to strengthen the focus on membership benefits and association brand.

The association’s inaugural Winter Tilt-Up Jubilee was held in 2014, sponsored by the TCA Global Associates Council. The networking opportunity, 5–7 p.m. at the Las Vegas Hotel on World of Concrete day two, is free to TCA members who register by January 23; nonmember and on-site registration is $40. Registration can be obtained at www.tilt-up.org/events.
