With an eye to federal legislation limiting tractor stopping distance, the company has added air disc brakes (ADB) to its most popular capacity steerable model, the SL13K Series Tru-Track Alumilite. Equipped with “quick-change ride height system,” it suits mixer, dump, mixer, and heavy haul applications, and is available in a Super Short Rail version offering a compact mounting design when space requirements become critical.
In addition to helping truck operators comply with stopping distance regulations, the company notes, ADB assemblies hold up in severe conditions, maintain stability, improve performance at cooler temperatures, reduce brake fade and draw identical power from left and right brakes. As ADB demand increases, offerings will be extended to include 20K steerable Tru-Track and 20K ridged suspensions. — Watson & Chalin, 800/445-0736; www.watsonsuspensions.com
