NPCA Elects Tidwell Chairman; Honors Hy-Grade, Western Precast

Michael Tidwell, president of Cartersville, Ga.-based Bartow Precast, was elected to a one-year term as National Precast Concrete Association chairman during the group’s 2014 convention in Montreal, succeeding Brent Dezember of StructureCast, Bakersfield, Calif.BRF-Mike-200

“One of the things you realize as you advance through committees and the Board is the enormous wealth of expertise that NPCA members bring to the table,” says Tidwell, whose term began late last month. “The collective knowledge and willingness of NPCA members to share that knowledge with each other is what makes this a unique organization.”

Rounding out the 2014-15 NPCA officer slate are Chairman-Elect Andy Wieser of Wieser Concrete Products Inc. in Maiden Rock, Wis., and Secretary/Treasurer Greg Stratis of Shea Concrete in Amesbury, Mass. Elected to three-year terms on the NPCA board are Darrin Carey of Wilbert Precast in Spokane, Wash., and Roy Kohlier of U.S. Foundry in Medley, Fla. Ashley Smith of Smith-Midland in Midland, Va., was reelected as a director. Prior to the convention, Scott Hayward of Colorado Precast Concrete in Loveland, was elected to the board to replace a departing director.
