The PCA board has named James Toscas as president and chief executive officer, effective December 15. For the past 11 years, he has served in the same capacity at Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, joining it shortly after a four-year tenure at the helm of the American Concrete Institute.

As a founder of the Concrete and Masonry-Related Associations, Toscas has improved the collaboration of all industry allies and provided a forum for the establishment of a strategic roadmap. “Jim brings a wealth of skill and knowledge that will serve the association and membership well,” says PCA Immediate-Past Chairman Cary Cohrs (American Cement), who chaired the recruitment committee for a new staff chief. “He understands the value of membership engagement and its vital role for the success of the Association.”

“PCA is a leader in the cement and concrete industry,” adds Toscas. “It is an honor to safeguard that reputation while establishing the paths to move it towards new challenges and opportunities.”
