A new Kentucky Ready Mixed Concrete Association tagline, used thus far on more than 5,000 bumper stickers and tee shirts, focuses on longevity. “CONCRETE LASTS A LIFETIME” anchors a promotional/educational effort for branding
concrete as a resilient and durable product. The association and producer members have distributed shirts among University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, students, while securing sticker spots on cars and trucks, and in offices and bars.
“We are more than happy to share the tagline artwork with the industry,” KRMCA Executive Director Finley Messick tells the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. “Our hope is that, with a unified message from the industry, people will begin to realize that concrete does indeed last a really long time.”
KRMCA has created a social media hashtag, #concretelastsalifetime, to accompany the initiative. Allied groups and individuals interested in adopting the CONCRETE LASTS A LIFETIME artwork and message can contact Messick at 502/695-1535, [email protected], or Brett Ruffing, KRMCA director of Technology & Education, [email protected].
KRMCA encourages members and other prospective campaign participants to consider adopting the new tagline as the main graphic on a variety of shirts, or coupled with pocket-sized company logos. The association has set up a company store here. |
