Solomon Colors has acquired technology and assets associated with the Ultra Fiber 500 product line of concrete secondary reinforcement fibers. Announcing a deal with Georgia Pacific LLC, company president Richard Solomon noted that Ultra Fiber 500 offers “superb finishing quality, unsurpassed crack control, better hydration and bonding, a true invisible fiber for decorative concrete, and fully automated dispensing system capability.”

Solomon Colors has represented Ultra Fiber 500, formerly under Buckeye Technology, for six years. It plans to continue the same manufacturing and packaging process, while also producing and servicing the automatic fiber dispenser. As with its ColorFlo dispensing systems, Solomon will assign in-house service technicians to maintain the Ultra Fiber 500 equipment. The company will keep existing shipping points and stock fiber at its Illinois headquarters and Rialto, Calif., satellite plants. Fiber can be ordered and shipped with the complete line of Solomon pigments, plus Brickform and Legacy decorative concrete products.
