Solomon Colors has acquired technology and assets associated with the Ultra Fiber 500 product line of concrete secondary reinforcement fibers. Announcing a deal with Georgia Pacific LLC, company president Richard Solomon noted that Ultra Fiber 500 offers “superb finishing quality, unsurpassed crack control, better hydration and bonding, a true invisible fiber for decorative concrete, and fully automated dispensing system capability.”

OSHA has confirmed a three-year extension, to November 2017, of the deadline for crane operator certification requirements in the Cranes and Derricks in Construction final rule, published in 2010. The agency has also extended by the same period a rule holding employers responsible for ensuring crane operators are competent to run their equipment safely.
