A definitive agreement with Aggregate Industries, centered on ready mixed production and fleet assets at 14 Meyer Material Co. sites, has netted Ozinga Bros. an expanded footprint across seven northern Illinois counties. Effective late last month, it transfers concrete plant operation and delivery to Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete, while Aggregate Industries/Meyer maintains six aligned sand & gravel properties.

The ranking of the top 10 construction aggregates producers remained the same from 2011 to 2012-the most recent year for which consolidated USGS data is available-except the nine and 10 positions, where the operators switched from the previous year’s spots.
