Guy Edwards has been appointed Aggregate Industries US chief operating officer, bringing a resume spanning management roles for the United Kingdom operations of Hanson, Tarmac and Aggregate Industries predecessor, Bardon. He will be tasked with strategy implementation and business improvement, and assessing the organization’s structure, efficiency and performance.

“Guy’s industry experience and strategic vision are invaluable for his new role,” says Holcim (US) and Aggregate Industries US President Filiberto Ruiz. “His knowledge and commitment to the success of AIUS made him an ideal candidate for this position.”

Edwards joined Hanson UK as quarry manager in 1988, proceeding to various operational and commercial managerial roles.

In 2006, he was named a Hanson/Tarmac joint venture managing director, and promoted to Hanson South regional director three years later. Aggregate Industries UK appointed him Bardon Aggregates South East director in 2012, leading to a promotion last year to the UK Executive Committee as Director Overseas.
