Off-road equipment industry professionals will gather April 29-30 in Schaumburg, Ill., near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, for the annual AEM product safety and compliance seminar, participants seeking the latest knowledge to help fine-tune company programs.

The event is developed specifically for equipment manufacturers as an industry forum to discuss critical issues involved in the design, manufacture and use of their products. With the theme of “Standing the Test of Time: Product Safety that Endures,” the seminar offers more than 20 sessions from basic safety-and-compliance-process best practices to the latest regulations, standards and technology.

The content is global in reach and applicable to the day-to-day jobs of safety professionals from beginners to mid-level to seasoned employees. Attendees can also participate at no charge in an April 28 half-day fundamentals course, The Cornerstone of Product Safety. Capping the AEM gathering will be the Product Liability Seminar, May 1, which uses a mock trial—based on an actual case and facilitated by a team of experienced trial lawyers—to help association member professionals put their product safety and liability practices into the context of real-world litigation. All three events are at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg. Additional information and registration can be obtained in the Education section of www.aem.org.
