Judges in the Tilt-Up Concrete Association’s 23rd Annual Tilt-Up Achievement Awards recognized a total of 31 award recipients, and selected 11 overall Excellence in Achievement winners—including the four projects noted here. TCA established the Achievement Awards to honor projects that represent an increasing diversity of building types constructed with site-cast tilt-up concrete as well as those that advance industry technology, apply innovative form and provide unique solutions to building programs.

Machine Gate Locking System
The new tGard range is a novel approach to controlling access to hazardous machinery and equipment. The compact, metal-bodied safety system enables the custom configuration of multiple safety products including electrical safety gate switches, mechanical trapped key interlocks and electrical operator controls, for optimum safety.
Read MoreEquipment Seals
Company cites the capability to manufacture customized machined seals practically “on demand” to meet exact specifications required by OEM or maintenance-related applications. It can supply virtually any type of rotating, reciprocating, or static seal, drawing from its catalog of several hundred standard profiles, and further can engineer unique sealing solutions tailored to particular application requirements.
Read MoreLight Duty Welding
A multi-process model running off 115V power and built to meet professional standards, the Tweco Fabricator 141i features push button controls, LED displays and a Quick Start Guide to enable first time welders to set up and start welding in a very short time. A chart inside the side panel guides users diagrams and welding parameter recommendations.
Read MoreElectric Wheelbarrow
The E-750 Electric Wheelbarrow allows construction operators to transport heavy loads with ease, and eliminates the unnecessary ergonomic challenges and production halts associated with traditional wheelbarrow solutions. Featuring a heavy-duty construction and a 24V, battery-operated motor, the E-750 is engineered to tackle diverse construction applications.
Read MorePower-Monitoring Current Transformers
The new CTRC AC Current Transformers monitor circuits up to 2,000 amps and produce a safe, low voltage output proportional to the RMS current value. This output is designed as an input to a power monitor or transducer, replicating the AC wave shape with phase angle resolution better than 2 degrees. The flexible coil design allows the cable to surround multiple conductors or bus assemblies regardless of shape and eliminates the magnetically permeable core of standard current transformers while providing excellent isolation, sensing only the magnetic field of the phase inside the loop. The CTRC can be used in any power monitoring application.
Read MoreExtension Cords
Rugged outdoor extension cords perform in construction applications. Premium STW 10/3 gauge wire provides the durability required for heavy duty use. Cables include 12/3, 14/3 and 16/3 models in lengths from 25 to 100 feet. Every unit has a NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R configuration.

A new web-based tool provides a state-by-state directory of Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved chemical and accessories products from Dayton Superior. Available at www.daytonsuperior.com/dot.aspx, it provides users a quick and easy resource, and enables them to click on any product name within their state’s DOT-approved product list for more detailed product information.
Read MoreSoft Starters
With models ranging from 3 to 4,500 hp, the product line begins with the compact SSW05, a fully digital soft starter with a state-of-the-art DSP (Digital Signal Processor) control. Simplicity
in set-up and operation is assured since all parameters and set-up selections are made using dip switches and potentiometers, product developers contend. The SSW05 comes standard with integral bypass contactor and is sized for light and medium duty applications. The SSW05 is available in the 3 to 75 hp motor range.
Radiant Heater
The HDR 155 Direct-Fired Radiant Heater features a heating design unaffected by the elements, so heat is directed exactly to where it’s needed. Delivering what product engineers contend is best-in-class, 155,000 Btu/hour heat input, the HDR 155 easily heats workspaces, workers and objects such as equipment, concrete form work and other structures from approximately 15 feet away. Since infrared heat radiates directly from the heater’s disc, the HDR 155 does not rely on warming the surrounding air like convection heating, so it produces quick, intense heat.
