Brampton Brick set to consummate Atlas Block asset deal

Canada’s second largest clay brick operator anticipates an early January closing on the assets of concrete building and hardscape unit producer, Atlas Block, including a Hillsdale, Ontario, flagship operation. The $12 million–$14 million transaction is through KPMG Inc., a court-appointed receiver of Atlas Block, and will allow Brampton Block to add concrete masonry capacity and take advantage of cost-saving synergies by consolidating production of similar items.
