A November 5-8 bus tour the PCI Productivity Committee has themed “Productivity Improvement in Lean Times for Precast and Prestressed Producers” will spotlight six Colorado plants representing a broad architectural, structural and specialty product cross section.
The event will kick off with an evening reception at the Denver Airport Marriott at Gateway Center, followed by November 6-7 visits to Rocky Mountain Prestress architectural and structural plants, both Denver; EnCon Colorado (bridge), Denver; Rocla Concrete Tie, Pueblo; Stresson Corp. (architectural and structural), Colorado Springs; and, Plum Creek Structures (bridges). The Productivity Committee will hold a contest with cash prizes, “Ideas That Pay Off,” upon return to the hotel from the first day’s plant visits.
Committee members gear the annual tour to plant managers or superintendents, general managers and production managers. A registration fee ($500 PCI members; $700 nonmembers) covers transportation, breakfasts, lunches and one dinner.
