Organizers for this year’s World of Coal Ash, April 22-25, in Lexington, Ky., have finalized an agenda featuring 40-plus sessions and 140 presentations on material recycling, marketing and management, plus a schedule for 60-booth exhibit hall and networking events.

American Coal Ash Association and the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, hosts of the biennial event, cite a technical program including six cement and concrete, six chemistry, three utilization, and three regulations sessions. Also on the agenda is an off-site reception at the Headley-Whitney Museum.

Each WOCA Conference kicks off with a Short Course, this year’s (April 22) covering coal ash regulations, toxicity, ponds and cenospeheres (high-value materials that float on ash ponds). Conference registration will begin at 2 p.m. in the Lexington Convention Center, continuing April 23–25 at 7 a.m. each day.   — www.worldofcoalash.org
