“Checklist for Concrete Producer – Concrete Contractor Fresh Concrete Performance Expectations” supports goals of a construction industry migration from prescriptive to performance-based (P2P) mix designs and specifications.

Developed by the ASCC Technical and NRMCA Research Engineering and Standards Committees, the document suits pre-contract meetings to clearly define producer and contractor responsibilities for the fresh-concrete performance. It applies only to mix properties that address contractor needs and are not typically a part of the project specifications.

“Completing the Checklist and discussing these items in a pre-contract meeting go a long way toward assuring that there is a close partnership or working relationship between the concrete producer and the contractor that is essential on performance-based projects,” affirms NRMCA Senior Vice President of Engineering Colin Lobo.

Requests for copies of the Checklist can be relayed to ASCC at [email protected], or downloaded from www.nrmca.org/research_engineering/P2P/default.htm.
