For the second-straight year, The Precast Show attendance reflected the positive impact of the slow but steady economic recovery on industry producers’ confidence. Staged January 11–13 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, this year’s gathering included a 100,000 sq. ft. show floor and 3,300-plus attendees.
“There’s no doubt the confidence level in our industry continues to grow,” affirms NPCA President Ty Gable, “but our members are mindful of both the slow nature of the recovery and the potential setbacks that exist. Our producer members and exhibitors are ready to expand if the right moves are made to remove the uncertainty in taxes and regulations.”
Beyond the trade show, committee meetings, special events and multiple days of education highlighted the 2013 Precast Show. In total, attendance for classes ranging from management and professional development, to industry-specific technical, quality and safety courses, was nearly 800. The Precast Show 2014 will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, February 13-15. — www.theprecastshow.org
