Robert Ober & Associates announced the acquisition of Con-Cool, LLC (ConCool) of the UK, and its parent company Concrete Temperature Control (CTC), Inc. of Belleview, Wash., from the estate of Thomas Read.

ConCool represents the longest-established concrete cooling equipment company, which was founded by the late Richard (Dick) Edwards, and the late Larry Rath, and most recently operated by UK-based TMI & Associates. ConCool is dedicated solely to the making of chilled concrete to meet heat of hydration and temperature-rise-control in civil projects worldwide.

ConCool will be operated independently, with headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo. The company will offer systems design and engineering, equipment manufacture, sales, parts and service; as well as turnkey installation and concrete heating systems design, together with Robert Ober & Associates’ Concrete Temperature Control construction enterprise.

The purchase of all designs and assets of the firms include the trademarks Glacier Dry Flake Ice Plants; Glacier Ice Rakes; Blue Northern sand chillers and chilled air circulation systems; and Niagara wet belts.
