Through its west Texas subsidiary, Ingram Concrete LLC, U.S. Concrete has closed on certain ready mixed production assets of Colorado River Concrete, L.P., Cindy & Robin Concrete, L.P. and E&R Artecona Family Limited Partnership (collectively “CRC”) for $2.4 million in cash, plus assumption of approximately $1.9 million in interest-bearing debt.

Unit masonry top gun Oldcastle Architectural has significantly expanded its range of Belgard Hardscapes products and services to contractors throughout Florida with the acquisition of Hanson Hardscapes, a division of Hanson Building Products North America. The nine-plant transaction spans operations in Haines City, Lehigh Acres and Pompano Beach—strategically extending Belgard’s geographic footprint and capacity to the Sunshine State’s southeast and southwest coastal communities—plus strong positions in Ontario and Michigan.

Developer-led green building technology investment group 350 Capital, Toronto, has taken a stake of undisclosed sum in CarbonCure, whose carbon dioxide injection process is in the early stages of commercialization among concrete masonry producers Atlas Block, Hillsdale, Ontario; Shaw Brick, Lantz, Nova Scotia; and Basalite Concrete Products, Dixon, Calif.

The Charles Pankow Foundation (CPF) has appointed a new chief, Mark Perniconi, P.E., successor to Robert Tener, Ph.D., P.E., who retired in May after nearly seven years in the post.
