Members of ASTM Committees C01 on Cement and C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates, plus allied interests, are invited to join a new subcommittee supporting standards related to methodologies and metrics for assessing sustainability in hydraulic cement production and use.
With an inaugural June 28 session during Cement and Concrete committee week in San Diego, Subcommittee C01.98 will coordinate activities with C09 and provide liaison with ASTM Committee E60 on Sustainability. While standards developed by C01.98 will be under C01 jurisdiction, C09 members are being asked to participate since they promulgate standards that are impacted by the sustainability assessment activity.
Interested stakeholders are invited to participate in Subcommittee C01.98. Technical and staff contacts are St. Marys Cement’s Nicholas Popoff, 313/849-4566,[email protected]; and, ASTM’s Scott Orthey, 610/832-9730; [email protected]
