Maxon Industries recently crossed the four-figure unit production threshold for its flagship concrete placing vehicle, delivering it to Zignego Company Inc., a Waukesha, Wis., contractor with an integrated, five-plant ready mixed business.

The Maxon Agitor is the only unit with open top haul body for rapid loading from a central mixed batch plant; an Agitator shaft to ensure quality concrete with every load transported; and, various chute options to meter concrete to buckets and pump hoppers or large paving chutes to place direct to grade as fast as a dump truck.

“The Agitor has had a proud history delivering concrete to projects across the globe and we are excited to have our 1,000th machine go to a contractor with an excellent history and reputation like Zignego,” notes Bill Maxon, president of Maxon Industries. “The [model’s] continued success speaks for the quality work that our team provides with every unit produced.”

The delivery coincides with a productive and eventful year, he adds, highlighted by production of 36 truck-mounted Agitors for contractors behind the Panama Canal expansion, consuming in excess of 7 million yd. of concrete. Recent Agitor product improvements include new hydraulic valves; side mounted operator’s ladders for easier inspection/washdown; and, adjustable agitator shafts that can handle any concrete mix design, from zero slump/large aggregate concrete to SCC and grout mixes.
