Hammer Drill

The SBE751 1/2-in. hammer drill can be used on a number of construction materials such as concrete, metal, wood, brick and tile. It weighs 7 lbs. and features a 750-watt motor, whose “LongLife” design withstands abuse from dust and overload conditions. The SBE751’s ergonomic design, including a rubberized handle, locking side hand and compact construction, creates a balanced machine for improved safety, comfort and performance.

The hammer drill features an optimized impact mechanism and durable aluminum die-cast gear housing that improves the tool’s dissipation of heat as well as increases its service life. The manufacturer’s Variospeed electronic speed control allows the user to easily regulate the speed from the lowest to highest value. The two-speed gear box offers a no load speed of 0 rpm to 1,000 rpm in first gear and 0 to 3,100 rpm in second gear with a maximum tightening torque of 265 in.-lbs.

The SBE751 has a maximum impact rate of 59,000 bpm, is rated at 5.8 amps and provides a maximum drilling diameter of 3/4-in. in concrete, 1/2-in. in steel and 1 9/16-in. in soft wood. Ample spacing between the drill chuck and gear housing allows for easy drill chuck changes and increased tool flexibility.

Furthermore, safety features of the tool include a safety locking side handle and the Metabo safety slip clutch. The SBE751 also includes a swivel cord connection for extended cord life, auto-stop carbon brushes and rotatable direction control for full power in each direction. — Metabo Corporation, www.metabousa.com
