COMMANDoptimize, offering real-time fleet and plant management to improve ready mixed concrete dispatch operations’ efficiency and profitability, was center stage at the 2011 Command Alkon Customer Conference.
Optimize, whose user base has steadily expanded since the technology’s 2009 introduction, is ushering another automation product, COMMANDreplenish, Command Alkon plans for 2012. It enables producers to automate raw material reordering by integrating Concrete Order Schedules, COMMANDbatch plant inventory levels, Apex bulk materials ordering and dispatch, plus third party systems for real time supply chain management.
Also during the conference, which drew upwards of 375 from North America and overseas markets to Las Vegas earlier this month, the company announced: COMMANDedx, electronic data exchange technology aimed at further integrating product suites with each other and external platforms, especially enterprise resource planning systems; Concrete Production Manager, to enhance data exchange and communication between concrete dispatch and COMMANDbatch; and, Concrete Temperature Control, an energy-wise feature for COMMANDbatch and COMMANDbatch CP, the latter a recently added automation and process control package for manufactured-concrete operations. Command Alkon has scheduled its 2012 Customer Conference the first week of November in New Orleans.
