UltraHPC, Homeland Security database headline fall ACI Council agenda

The September 21-22 session of the ACI-affiliated Strategic Development Council will include presentations on:

  • Ultra-High Performance Concrete: an update from the North American Working Group on UHPC.
  • Advance Materials Activities: the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is sponsoring a developing public database serving as a single source for material technologies, with the concrete interests participating through the National Institute of Building Sciences.
  • Building Information Modeling: how the Council supports ACI’s active role in National BIM Standards.
  • Concrete Standards in Nuclear Construction: an update on recent Nuclear Energy Standards Coordination Collaborative activities.

 

Scheduled at the Hilton/Chicago Northbrook Hotel in Northbrook, Ill., the SDC session will also feature Technology Showcases, presented by developers and proprietors of products and technologies with market-transforming potential.   —  www.concreteSDC.org
