The launch of http://cmucheckoff.com/ continues concrete masonry interests’ gauging of a promotion-geared check-off program enlisting producers across the industry. The website provides an overview of the industry and its role in building sustainable communities, while also providing information on check-off programs NCMA is considering to propose to members and nonmembers.
As demonstrated in agriculture, lumber and other industries, check-off programs provide a mechanism by which every producer supports research, education and promotion efforts intended to expand markets through the collection and remittance of an assessment per unit sold. Implementation requires endorsement by the industry and government authorization. The new NCMA website will serve as means of educating interested parties and providing updates on progress.
