Nominations are open through February 15 for the inaugural Concrete Cares Award, established by the NRMCA Manufacturers, Products & Services Division to recognize producer members’ outstanding contributions in community service. With plants in almost every community in America, the association notes, those members make a difference by supporting schools and local recreation departments, plus activities ranging from Earth Day celebrations, to Boys & Girls Clubs, to breast cancer awareness campaigns.
Concrete Cares aims to recognize those efforts and spotlight the positive impact ready mixed concrete operators have in their hometowns. All NRMCA producer members are eligible to be nominated. A donation in the name of the selected honoree will be made to the charity of its choice. The award will be presented during the NRMCA Annual Convention, March 19-21 in Las Vegas. Nomination forms and additional information can be obtained from NRMCA Senior Vice President, Membership Kathleen Carr-Smith, 301/587-1400, ext. 1145; [email protected]
