Cretex Concrete Products Midwest Inc. has acquired the assets of Des Moines-based Quality Concrete Pipe, Inc. and affiliate CSI Precast, LLC. QCP, which also does business under the CSI brand, produces reinforced concrete pipe, box culverts, drainage and utility structures, and retaining walls.
“QCP brings us new precast production capabilities and their proven track record of sales outside of the drainage market is complementary to our existing business in Iowa,” notes Cretex Cos. CEO Lynn Schuler. “The addition of QCP allows us to market to a broader customer base and expands our product offering.”
The business adds a sixth Iowa operation to Cretex Midwest, which is based in Maple Grove, Minn., and has eight additional sites in Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and North Dakota.
