Standley adds plant-wide, high-efficiency heating equipment line

Through a distribution agreement with Finland’s Polarmatic Oy, Standley Batch will offer the Turbomatic thermal energy unit, geared for all heating and heat treatment requirements in ready mixed or precast concrete operations. The unit affords quick thawing of frozen aggregates; efficient aggregate pre-heating and heating; and, warm water for mix dosing, form heating, or temperature control in batch plant or production enclosure work areas.

With 700-plus overseas concrete plant installations to date, the Turbomatic uses a compressor to generate a high-heat gas or steam, containing what Polarmatic engineers note is about seven times more energy than the same amount of air a conventional heating device will force into an aggregate bin. The technology operates without a pressurized vessel and, engineers add, provides superior heating power and energy efficiency, as well as opportunities to realize significant fuel, operating and maintenance cost savings. Standley Batch will display the Turbomatic throughout the early 2011 show season: World of Concrete, Booth N148, January 18-21, Las Vegas; The Precast Show, Booth 916, January 27–29, Charlotte; and, ConExpo-Con/Agg, Booth 20848, Las Vegas, March 22-26.   —  www.standleybatch.com; www.polarmatic.fi
