Polyurethane Yields Fine Formliner, Mold, Stamp Detail

Dow Formulated Systems’ Duramould ETM hand-mixable polyurethane grades feature low-viscosity room temperature processing, extended gel times and optimized demold times to allow transfer of fine detail from master stone or other surface to molds for precast or cast-in-place concrete formliners and decorative flatwork stamping pads. The finished molds offer what Dow Formulated engineers note is high resistance to abrasion, plus improved cut and tear resistance.

Duramould ETM spans polyurethane systems of 30 50, 60 and 75A shore A hardness. Deep draw molds at 30 shore A provide toughness and flexibility, enabling the mold or formliner to yield multiple reproductions; on the other hand, ETM 75A ensures stiffness and low shrinkage to enhance detail and symmetry when fabricating a flatwork stamping pad. ETM and companion Duramould system specifications are available at www.dow.com/products/. Û North American contact: Joshua Nick, Technical Sales Representative, 678-269-1328 or 404-307-8078
