An 11,000-lb. load capacity, 30-ft. 3-in. forward reach and 45-ft. lift height (with stabilizers in the down position) suit the new TH514 telehandler to tough applications, including general construction. Load-sensing, flow-sharing hydraulics allow for simultaneous and proportional operation of all three boom functions; and, smooth control of boom and work tools provides increased accuracy, product engineers affirm.
Designed to provide power and torque levels to meet job-site demands, the standard 101-hp C4.4 DITAAC mechanical control, turbo-charged engine is certified to Tier3 emission regulations. Also standard is a limited slip differential fitted in the front axle.
Ease of operation is enhanced via single-lever joystick with roller switches and fully proportional controls, including auxiliary hydraulics. An in-cab LCD clearly displays information; and, the keypad can be used to select various operating modes, including three steering options.
Work tools extend the machine’s versatility. A high-visibility, manual IT coupler is standard, while a hydraulic quick-coupler that allows work-tool changes without exiting the cab is available as an option. Caterpillar
