Nuclear Station Engineer Named Njit Cim Program Coordinator

Mohamed Mahgoub, Ph.D., is the new program coordinator for the four-year Bachelor of Science business-intensive Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program

Mohamed Mahgoub, Ph.D., is the new program coordinator for the four-year Bachelor of Science business-intensive Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark. He replaces Prof. John Wiggins.

While completing his Masters degree in 1997 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Mahgoub pursued development of innovative strengthening techniques for column base joints at the Pickering, Ont., nuclear power station. Notes Dr. Ronald Rockland, chair of the NJIT Department of Engineering Technology, Dr. Mahgoub brings a combination of strong industry experience and an excellent educational background.

Eugene Martineau, executive director of the CIM National Steering Committee adds, His outstanding background in research will be most helpful as we advance the industry’s research capability under the NSC/CIM banner. In his new role, Mohamed will become a member of the NSC’s Board of Directors, and he will help shape the future direction of CIM.
