Recognizing distinctive new construction or retrofit applications as manufactured stone veneer demand is poised for continued growth, the MVMA named 19 projects in its first annual Design Awards program. Entries spanned (1) Remodel, Residential, Exterior; (2) Remodel, Residential, Interior; (3) Remodel, Nonresidential, Exterior; (4) New Construction, Residential, Exterior; (5) New Construction, Residential, Interior & Exterior; (6) New Construction, Nonresidential, Exterior; (7) New Construction, Nonresidential, Interior & Exterior; and, (8) Hardscape/Landscape categories.
Six honors spanning five categories placed San Marcos, Calif.-based Eldorado Stone first among award-winning producers. Veneerstone in Plano, Texas, garnered five awards in five categories for projects featuring Tejas Textured Stone. Also landing five awards was Refton, Pa.-based Quality Stone Veneer, Inc., for projects entered in four categories. Owens Corning Cultured Stone was cited for two projects in two categories.
A complete list of MVMA Design Award award winners is posted online. MVMA staged the judging and awards presentation during its annual meeting earlier this month in St. Louis.
