Concrete Results acquired the assets of Portland, Ore.-based Castia Stone, whose wet-cast veneer design includes a rain screen air space eliminating moisture build-up between siding and wall. The company will support licensed producers with multiple finish and texture offerings, product development, assistance in specifications, and a marketing program. Sister business InnovaCast Inc. will supply stone veneer molds.
As a precast veneer, notes Concrete Results President Mark Muratore, Castia Stone is technologically superior and extremely cost effective to install. [Plants] will be able to produce this material on existing equipment and supplement current offerings to contractors and distributors, he says. From a design standpoint, Castia Stone provides the architect with a creative material that can be used in combination with traditional sidings and provide greatly enhanced building designs.
