Responding to the need for improved educational materials as the hardscape industry grows, the School for Advanced Segmental Paving (SASP) offers a Foundation Skills-Instructional Training Video for Concrete and Clay Pavers. The video is based on one of the most popular hands-on SASP classes, Foundation Skills for Paver Construction, developed with the assistance of the school’s contractor founders following Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) & Brick Industry Association (BIA) installation guidelines. In addition, a certification test is available for those wanting to become SASP certified; and, each certified installer will be listed on the SASP web site at www.paverschool.com.
Available as a cost-effective tool for in-house training, the video features industry best practices, techniques, and technology to increase the quality and efficiency of crews on all segmental pavement projects. Covered in the 136-minute running time are installation instructions Û from initial site visit to final compaction Û including special techniques for both concrete and clay pavers.
