Spancrete Machinery Corp. Vice President Joseph T. Dugan is retiring this month, closing a 51-year career with Waukesha, Wis.-based Spancrete Group and the founding Nagy family. He joined the company in 1959, starting at the precast/prestressed plant in Valders, Wis., his hometown. He proceeded from plant operations, field superintendent and general manager roles to vice president posts in Precast Operations and Spancrete Machinery. Recognizing wall panel market opportunities in 1982, he oversaw Spancrete Machinery’s development of 8-ft. wide plank and casting equipment.

Dugan is a past Spancrete Manufacturers Association president and chaired is Operations Committee. He is also a past Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Plant Safety Committee chairman and served on the PCI Erectors and Installation Committees.
