A barrier wall erected by Los Angeles-based Artisan Precast earlier this year for a Nevada bottling company showcases the multiple benefits of concrete fencing, the producer affirms. Artisan installed 1,910 feet of 10-ft.-high and 1,665 feet of 6-ft.-high FenceStone Û its premier faux-stone product Û in Mesa Buff color.

According to Artisan Precast Senior Vice President Chris Miller, crews on the Nevada project faced some of the most difficult obstacles he has encountered to date in his tenure with the company. At the outset, the area’s soil and plentiful rocks challenged installation equipment. Second, city codes and regulations required solutions to prevent soil erosion around the barrier. Finally, frequent elevation changes at the site called for constant product stepping to create a long-lasting finished wall with an attractive line. Despite these constraints, Artisan finished the job on schedule.

In addition to FenceStone, Artisan Precast provides customized solutions simulating the look of crafted wood [WoodCrete], wood rail [WoodCrete Rail], and brick [BrickCrete] by applying its proprietary concrete form technologies. SmoothCrete and ChiselCrete also serve a variety of applications, company representatives add. All products are fabricated using green processes and materials, such as VOC- and mercury-free molds, water-based release agents, and recycled cementitious substitutes. Û www.artisanprecast.com
