Spancrete CEO John Nagy has announced the retirement of Spancrete Machinery Corp. Vice President Joseph T. Dugan, effective May 7. He joined the company’s Valders, Wis., precast/prestressed operation in 1959, proceeding from plant operations, field superintendent and general manager assignments to Precast Operations and Spancrete Machinery vice-president posts. Recognizing hollow core wall panel market opportunities in 1982, he oversaw Spancrete Machinery’s development of 8-ft. wide plank and casting equipment. Dugan is a past Spancrete Manufacturers Association president and Operations Committee chairman, as well as a past Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Plant Safety Committee chairman and PCI Erectors and Installation Committees member.
