Maryland supplier and construction interests have launched a Web site, www.concreteformaryland.com, to complement established Facebook (www.facebook.com/pages/Concrete-for-Maryland/) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/concrete4MD) accounts promoting awareness of concrete for new pavement and resurfacing projects. The site serves as the central resource for facts and updates on our progress as we take the concrete message to consumers and government officials across the state, says Tom Evans of the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association, a founding coalition member.
In addition to providing information about the use of concrete for road projects and its environmental and long-term value, the site allows those interested in joining the campaign to sign up to receive regular updates. Visitors to the web site also can access research reports posted in a Concrete Facts section and News of Maryland concrete projects.
