Navistar announced at World of Concrete 2010 that Continental Mixers, LLC will stand as the new name of Continental Manufacturing Co., which it acquired in December 2009. Further, Navistar indicated plans to add approximately 30 dealers in 2010 to current Continental Mixers sales and service locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, improving service for current customers and expanding the company’s distribution network beyond the Southeastern U.S.
Continental Mixers will offer a full lineup of rear discharge mixer products sold under both Continental Mixers and CBMW Mixers brands. While Houston-based Continental Mixers, LLC will continue to operate independently, new distributors will be affiliated with existing International truck dealerships, offering a full line of mixer and chassis parts. In addition, service locations will perform comprehensive chassis and body maintenance. Continental Mixers will continue to mount mixer bodies and provide support on all makes of chassis, as its dealerships offer service and support for integrated mixer bodies mounted to International truck chassis.
Continental Manufacturing Co. built a solid reputation by offering some of the most durable, driver-friendly and fastest operating concrete mixers available, said Jim Hebe, senior vice president, North American sales operations. Taking the best of the company and introducing Continental Mixers to the Navistar family of brands, we have yet another opportunity to provide an integrated, one-stop shop for our customers.
