Scheduled as custom on the show’s third day, the Feb. 4 event will have 11 a.m.–1 p.m. silent and 1–2 p.m. live auctions in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall (Room N262)

A 10.5-yd. McNeilus mixer on a 6×4 2009 Freightliner M2 112 is the signature item for the Fifth Annual CIM Auction at the World of Concrete. Scheduled as custom on the show’s third day, the Feb. 4 event will have 11 a.m.Ò1 p.m. silent and 1Ò2 p.m. live auctions in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall (Room N262). Auctioneer Ritchie Brothers will also set up Internet bidding for remote participants who register a week in advance at www.rbauction.com.

Organizers aim to best the 2009 auction take of nearly $300,000 with this year’s pool of donations, which include cement loads from Capitol Aggregates, Cemex, Essroc, GCC, Holcim, Lafarge, Lehigh, Mountain, Titan, TXI, VCNA, and Vulcan/Florida Rock, plus batch plant equipment from Command Alkon and Jonel Engineering. Among other items are concrete saws, drills, vibrators, scaffolding, safety equipment, screeds, fiber transport systems, dust collectors, NDT equipment, decorative concrete tools, water meters, pumps, generators, training sessions, reference books, advertisements, computers, sports memorabilia and travel packages, and golf school or vacation travel packages.

Funds raised will benefit the CIM National Steering Committee and support the CIM programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Arizona State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, California State University-Chico, and Texas State University.
