The ACI-affiliated Strategic Development Council has scheduled presentations on Building Information Modeling and Performance Specifications for Concrete as part of its fall meeting, Oct. 1-2, at the Inverness Hotel & Conference Center, near Denver. Council members will discuss future steps to making performance specifications an alternative and/or the preferred method for specifying and producing concrete. They will also hear from speakers assessing current regulatory and legislative actions related to concrete and the environment. A series of Technology Showcases will highlight products and services with the potential to transform the market for concrete. A meeting agenda has been posted by SDC.

SDC membership consists of concrete industry leaders and exists to identify industry critical technologies and issues that affect the concrete community. The organization creates and implements various strategies that facilitate an efficient and effective transition into these progressive concrete technologies.
