Triple Play: Dry, Warm, Sturdy Foundations

Ensuring dryness, Superior Walls’ 5,000-plus-psi concrete is moisture resistant, even without additional on-site damp-proofing sprays or bituminous coatings.

Ensuring dryness, Superior Walls’ 5,000-plus-psi concrete is moisture resistant, even without additional on-site damp-proofing sprays or bituminous coatings. Moreover, a specified crushed-stone footing and perimeter drain direct water away from the foundation.

Warmth also is built into Superior Walls foundation systems. Since research indicates that over 33 percent of heat loss through the basement occurs at the top 24 inches, a continuous layer of insulation is bonded directly to the concrete. R-12.5 or R-5 insulation throughout wall panels minimizes thermal transfer, and prestudded wall panels include extra cavity space to allow added insulation for maximizing R-value up to R-50-plus.

Superior Walls components are fabricated in a controlled plant environment to ensure that foundations are built to highest industry standards. The concrete is reinforced with steel rebar, making it stronger than traditional foundations, product engineers affirm. Certified trained crews install the systems typically in less than one day.
