Seven students comprise the first graduating class of the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program at California State University, Chico. Graduating in late May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management were Kevin Albert, Cyrus Dworak, Chad Christie, Brant Guido, Gessel Balderranbano, Frank Corzine and Jeff Kelly. In addition to the CIM degree, several of the students received a degree in Construction Management.

Notes Douglas Guerrero, chairman of the Chico State CIM Patrons, The CIM program is doing extremely well, performing at the growth rate planned when it was established in 2006. After three years, we now have more than 60 declared CIM students. That success is due in large part to the dedication of active Patrons who have provided donations to fund the program’s startup and continue to offer significant time as guest lecturers, as well as help the faculty with course material and program development.
