The RMC and ACI foundations will jointly target industry research and educational topics, especially those tied to product and practice standards, under a strategic partnership formalized by both groupsÌ boards. ACI Foundation will also disseminate reports and studies of the RMC Foundation, whose rapid response to market developments affecting ready mixed producers and cast-in-place methods is reflected in benchmark research on pervious concrete pavement; concrete and the LEED rating point system for green building; crushed returned concrete as recycled aggregate; and, high-volume fly ash mixes.

“Our Board of Trustees enthusiastically voted to approve this agreement, said RMC Foundation Chairman Karl Watson, Jr. (Cemex Inc.), adding that ACI Foundation’s “ideas for new programs, along with assistance in distributing research reports to a wide-ranging audience, will help improve quality and professionalism in the concrete industry.”

“The past collaboration of our organizations has proven highly successful,” affirms ACI Foundation Chairman Claude Bedard (Euclid Chemical). “This is a tremendous opportunity to maximize industry resources.”
